Merry Christmas!

OK, so I know I’m Jewish but I love Christmas. This year, Max and the dogs and I are keeping warm in the snowy ice tundra wilderness that is Buffalo, New York. We’ve spent the last few days getting into the spirit by sitting around doing next to nothing, shopping, eating too much, drinking too much, and cooking, so I’m pretty sure I’m getting the full Christmas experience? I don’t know how this works.

hatsupplies

We aren’t tackling any crazy major projects in Buffalo this time around, but I needed something to keep my hands busy, so I threw some supplies in my bag before we left so that I could make Linus a Santa hat. This was important/essential because Linus is 1) old and 2) sleepy and 3) he looks like Santa’s disembodied beard with eyes and four legs.

SUPPLIES:

1. Red felt
2. White felt
3. Hot glue gun/extra glue
4. Scissors
5. White pom poms
6. Elastic

STEP 1: Gather all your supplies.

Step 2. Figure it the fuck out.

Merrychristmas

Have a great Christmas, everybody.

Merry Christmas, Daniel, Max, Mekko and Linus! I don’t feel you need to be Christian to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Spending time with people you love means you’re doing it exactly right! All the best for the new year.

Well, for a short time period we were celebrating the holiday in the same city :-) Hope you don’t get too snowbound this holiday here in WNY :-)

I think Mekko’s in on the secret: you guys are cooking something yummy, aren’t you? And I’m just a little bit in love with the fruit print hanging to the side of the range hood.

Hi. I’ve read your blog for a bit. I love it. Love your style, which is similar to mine. I’ve done a few things myself in my house, but I am about to embark on a whole other (chaotic, obsessive and serious learning-curve) level, and some of your DIY (especially refurbishing) has helped a lot. Thanks.

    Happy Holidays.
