Brand policy
If you reference Daniel Kanter using my photos or writing, please credit them back with an original link to the post. Or even better, shoot me an email and ask permission! All writing and photography on this site is my own, unless otherwise noted.
Every so often, I am compensated by brands to produce sponsored content. Any such content will be clearly disclosed, as well as any gifted items. Product links may contain affiliates, meaning that I make a small commission if you make a purchase—hey thanks! I strictly work with and promote brands that I genuinely use and love, and I aim to be honest and transparent about my experience with any product or service.
Your privacy is important to me! Here’s a run-down of how your data may be used when tooling around on this site:
Comments
While discussion is absolutely encouraged (I love hearing from you!), I do reserve the right to remove offensive, self-promotional, or spam comments. It’s nice to be nice!
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Spam protection
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
